For a good two weeks now, I have been waiting to experience one of my favorite things…Hot Wings!
That’s right, the trashy side of me wins out when it comes to enjoying these deepfried, saucy, fleshy treats!
The reason that I have been waiting so long is that the mood of the experience has to be just right. Seriously, I need to be able to set aside enough time to enjoy the wings. This means that I can not really have plans for the rest of the night, because I leave being full of grease and smelling like vinegar. I also can not really have any plans for the following morning because it kind of ruins my insides for a good 12 hours or so, but for me it is well worth it.
As I drove home from work at 9:30 pm, I called my house and my parents were out with their friends, this was perfect! It meant that I would not feel guilty about buying food because there were no leftovers waiting for me at the house! I dropped by Wing Stop, my favorite place, and then drove home. I usually have to eat the wings in my room because I always get shamed by my family about how much the wings smell!
By the time I got home with my wings, my parents were going to bed and it was time to enjoy!
I sat down, opened up the wings and got ready to eat, but wait…this was just the beginning. I realized that to truly enjoy this experience, I needed a movie to watch and I needed to empty my bladder so that there would be nothing else to experience but the taste of the delicious fried treat.
I put on one of the remaining 2 episodes of Prison Break that I have left to watch, and went to the bathroom, I remembered that before going to the bathroom, I always have to check behind the shower curtain to make sure that no one will catch me off guard and try to kill me while peeing or eating wings.
After the bathroom I sat down and picked up a wing…but…realized that I was still wearing my work shirt, and I could not enjoy relaxing and eating wings in my work shirt, that would detract from the experience, so I took the shirt off.
So there I was, in my room, wearing pants and no shirt, watching Prison Break, without an ounce of urine in my body, eating wings…and it was good!
It did make me realize that I will always be a weird kooky person, and most of my life is actually made up of weird rules and circumstantial laws that I have to obey in order to have a good time.
Oh well, my alloted time to blog is up, if I go over, I won’t be able to read for 45 minutes and thus beat rush hour traffic and get home before dinner!
I miss eating Wing Stop/Pei Wei with you every week! I just miss hanging out with you!!!
I hope you’re doing as well as you sound.
