If These Socks Could Talk

I wore the same pair of socks for three days straight this weekend! I had a change of socks with me, I just never got around to doing it. Those socks did not leave my feet all weekend. They saw a lot of things, and I am glad there was something constant there with me, [...]

Hiking

I have always hated walking and jogging as a means for myself to think, too much distraction and fear of being gruesomely devoured by wildlife. Yesterday I walked a trail up here at camp two times, once alone, once with a friend. It was quite refreshing. I am not sure about this being a new [...]

Hunker Down

I was exposed to the phrase “hunker down” THREE TIMES yesterday: two times in a conversation from my father, and once in a book by David Sedaris. This has to have meaning in my life, why is this phrase there (besides its clear hilarious value), or do I think everything has important meaning because I [...]

My lips hurt real bad!

So we had skit night tonite during Outdoor Ed. All of the kids did their thing and then the teachers did their skit. They started impersonating the kids and making fun of them. Day 1Five gallons of water spilled [...]

It is so interesting how I have been here for a month, wondering what God is doing with me, I want to seek Him. What will I know about you from this experience God? All of a sudden it starts, things are stirring, I have to be quiet. I don’t know where this is going, [...]

Delicious Surprises

It all started with my obsession with the avocado. I wanted avocado on everything, then I started eating avocado plain, then I would eat three at a time with a spoon and nothing else. I decided I wanted to try new things with avocado, this lead me to the avocado smoothie which was alright, but [...]
